Y-Type Strainer GL41H-16Q DN50 PN16 Flanged Ductile Iron Pipeline Filter SS304 Screen

This GL41H-16Q ductile iron Y-type strainer with nominal diameter DN50 (2") is a flanged pipeline filter engineered for water and other clean liquid systems. Its QT450-10 ductile iron body houses a corrosion-resistant SS304 stainless steel screen that captures rust, sand and pipe debris before they reach pumps, flow meters, valves and other sensitive equipment, with a rated pressure of PN16 (1.6 MPa).

• QT450 Ductile Iron Body: The strainer body and cover are cast from QT450-10 ductile iron, giving the unit high mechanical strength, good impact toughness and dependable pressure containment for PN16 water service.
• SS304 Stainless Steel Screen: The cylindrical filter element is made of SS304 stainless steel mesh, offering excellent corrosion resistance and a smooth surface that minimizes particle adhesion and pressure loss.

Construction: The GL41H-16Q Y-type strainer consists of a ductile iron body with an angled branch chamber, a removable cover, and a cylindrical SS304 filter screen. Water entering the strainer passes through the screen from the inside out, while particles larger than the mesh opening are retained in the chamber and periodically removed through the cover. No moving parts are involved, which makes the strainer virtually maintenance free apart from regular screen cleaning.

Screen & Filtration: The SS304 screen is available in standard 20 mesh (about 0.85 mm opening) as well as 10, 40 and 60 mesh options, or perforated plate versions with 1.0 to 3.0 mm holes, to match different water qualities. The screen is supported by a rigid framework inside the body, and the drain plug on the cover allows the trapped debris to be flushed out during routine maintenance.

Applications: The GL41H-16Q Y-type strainer is widely installed in municipal water supply and drainage systems, water conservancy projects, building water supply and heating networks, and irrigation stations to remove sand, rust and suspended solids from water media.

Packaging & Quality Assurance: Each strainer is hydrostatically shell tested at 1.5 times the rated pressure (2.4 MPa for PN16) before dispatch in line with GB/T 13927 and API 598 test requirements. Flange faces are protected with wooden covers and the body receives anti-rust primer with blue or black finishing paint. Small sizes are packed in cartons with foam inserts and palletized; larger diameters are secured in plywood wooden cases with internal foam supports, ready for sea freight. Our factory operates under ISO 9001 quality management and provides a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.
