Waterworks Swing Check Valve H44T-16Q DN150 PN16 Flanged Ductile Iron Copper Core Disc

This H44T-16Q copper core swing check valve with nominal diameter DN150 (6") is a flanged, ductile iron non-return valve engineered for water and other clean liquid pipelines. The round-body (round belly) design combines a QT450-10 ductile iron shell with a corrosion-resistant copper alloy disc and seat, forming a dependable metal-to-metal hard seal rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa). It automatically prevents reverse flow in horizontal or vertical-upward piping, protecting pumps, flow meters and process equipment from backflow damage and water hammer.

• QT450 Ductile Iron Body: The valve body and bonnet are cast from QT450-10 ductile iron, delivering high tensile strength and excellent impact resistance while remaining lighter and more economical than cast steel for water service.
• Copper Alloy Disc & Seat: The swing disc and seat ring are machined from copper alloy (brass), providing a stable metal-to-metal hard seal surface that resists corrosion, scaling and repeated opening cycles in water media.
• PN16 Flanged Connection: Flanged end connections are drilled to ISO 7005-2 / DIN PN16 patterns, allowing quick, secure installation between standard pipeline flanges with conventional gaskets and bolting.

Construction: The valve consists of a ductile iron body, a hinged copper alloy disc assembly and a renewable seat ring. The disc swings on a sturdy hinge pin; when upstream pressure exceeds downstream pressure the disc lifts off the seat and flow passes freely, and when flow stops or reverses, the disc returns to the closed position under its own weight and back pressure, forming a tight metal-to-metal seal. No springs or external actuators are required, which simplifies maintenance and reduces the risk of mechanical failure over the service life.

Packaging & Quality Assurance: Every valve is hydrostatically shell tested at 2.4 MPa and seat tested at 1.76 MPa in line with GB/T 13927 and API 598 requirements before dispatch. Exterior surfaces receive anti-rust primer with blue or black finishing paint; flange faces are protected with wooden or plastic covers. Small sizes are packed in cartons with foam inserts and palletized, while larger diameters are secured in plywood wooden cases with internal foam supports, ready for sea freight.
